For this year’s Atlanta Celebrates Photography (ACP) public art project, Gifted, curator Beth Lilly and volunteers handed out no less than 1,200 signed, limited edition photographs by local artists. Now that the month-long project is complete, I took the opportunity to interview Lilly and find out how it went.

Don’t worry. If you’re not interested in seeing more photography, there’s still plenty of artwork in other media on view this weekend. (Take for instance the Leonardo da Vinci exhibit.) But if you are one of those camera-obsessed maniacs, prepare yourself for a total system shock.

Local artist Beth Lilly came up with the idea for The Oracle @ WiFi in late 2005, when she was talking with her husband about cell phone cameras. She says:
